Novice LL4 hosted the Woolwich Wildcats for
their home game on Saturday, November 7th.
With Boston Brown in goal for LL4, the game
went a full 2 periods scoreless.
Though, it wasn’t for lack of trying from both teams! Great plays include a sneaky Derick Groot stealing a breakaway from the opposing team by
neatly snagging the puck from behind.
Lane Sauder was gifted a breakaway but missed the net with the puck,
landing in it himself. Bryce
McEwan did a fantastic job keeping the opposing goalie and defense on high
alert and came very close to scoring several times but could not get a puck
by.
The third period started as the first 2, with LL4 playing a very strong offense, but finding no scoring opportunities. Finally, with 4 minutes and 38 seconds on the clock, Fisher Woznica made it past the defense and scored a goal, assisted by Paul Fahner. The final score was 1-0 for Ayr Flames. Great game, Flames!
