On Saturday, Novice LL4 travelled to St.
Jacobs for a game against the Woolwich Wildcats. The game started with a goal scored by Woolwich. However, Braydon Hall seized an
excellent opportunity with a breakaway goal, quickly tying the game, 1-1. He
was assisted by Andrew Sayles. The first period ended with 3 goals by LL4 in
the last 2 minutes: 1st by Fisher Woznica, assisted by Maxx
Vanoostveen, 2nd by Braydon Hall assisted by William McLeod, and
with just 29 seconds left Fisher scored again, assisted by Andrew Sayles.
The second period started with another goal by Woolwich. The LL4 team then continued their goal scoring streak. Fisher earned a hat-trick with his third goal of the game, assisted by Lane Sauder. Not to be out-done, Braydon followed with a perfectly aimed shot at the net from centre ice, earning a hat-trick of his own! The final goal by LL4 was scored by Lane Sauder, who delivered a perfect wrist shot to the net, off of a beautiful pass by Bryce McEwan directly after a face off. Woolwich returned with another goal to end the second period.
During the third period, Woolwich had several scoring opportunities but goalie Grant Smith remained strong in net and didn’t let another goal through. The final score was 7-3.
