Feb. 20 - PLAYOFF GAME vs. Ayr Flames LL1
Novice LL3 played their only game at home this weekend
against their home counterpart Novice LL1.
Will be missing our defensemen, Jonas Lindsay, as he is off
the bench due to injury for the next few weeks.
We were able to keep the 1st period scoreless because of the great work by our defensemen; Brody MacAulay, Jack Coughlin, Colton Hanlon, Noah Hoch, Emmett Holman, and of course our astounding goalie JS Deacon.
The intense 2nd period opened up with a glove save by JS Deacon after a battle for the puck in front of our net. Cohen Dalton was able to make a breakaway with the assist by Jack Coughlin, being trailed by LL1 Cohen Dalton was able to get us our first goal of the game. LL1 answered that goal just over a minute later. With a few more saves and attempts by both teams the second period game came to an end, tied, 1-1.
In the 3rd period, both teams were focused and ready to score goals. Lukas Waschenko fought for the puck against the boards and was able to get it free, where Matthew Aoun picked it up and made is way up the ice to score our second goal of the game. The puck was brought back down into our end and with 3 amazing consecutive saves by JS Deacon one was able to slip past him, tying up the game. That would not do for our LL3 boys with more intense battles for the puck and fantastic passing, Deacon Samay was able to score the third and final goal of the game. With the period ending the LL3 boys had one the game 3-2.
