Feb. 26 - PLAYOFF GAME vs. Tavistock Titans
These two games this
weekend, were important ones for Novice LL3, if they could win both games then
it means the boys are going to the finals. It all started with a great game in
Tavistock on Friday night, keeping the first period scoreless with goalie, JS
Deacon, at his best again, saving all attempts at net.
In the second period both teams were ready to make this period count, and with fantastic team work, Deacon Samay was able to score the first goal of the game with assists by Noah Hoch and Sam Steward. Great defense by Jack Coughlin and Emmett Holman as they were able to keep Tavistock back so, Cohen Dalton was able to make an unassisted goal. With just under 4 minutes left in the game, Tavistock, scored a goal, and after more great plays the period ended 2-1 for LL3. The third period was even more intense, with a slashing penalty going to LL3, forwards, Lukas Washenko and Matthew Aoun and defensemen Colton Hanlon and Brody MacAulay were able to run the penalty out with no goals. With a battle for the puck against the boards Samuel Vaisanen passed the puck to Cohen Dalton who scored his second goal for the game, but Tavistock did not leave that goal unanswered and with less than 30 seconds later they made the score 3-2. JS Decaon was astounding with triple saves right the face-off in our end. With a minute left in the game Tavistock pulled their goalie and Cohen Dalton took advantage and shot the puck down the ice to score our 4th goal!
They ended the game with the score of 4-2.
