Feb. 27 PLAYOFF GAME vs. Ayr LL4
The final game of the playoffs happened at the NDCC against our worthy home opponents Novice LL4.  Our boys knew how important this game was and you could see it in the way they played.  There was great skating, passing, and most important teamwork. The entire game was intense and the crowd could feel it, there wasn’t a person sitting down.

The first period was a fight for the puck, both teams worked tirelessly as the ice and/or the puck was not working in their favour.  The work paid off for both teams as both were able to score in the first period. The first goal was scored by Cohen Dalton, assisted by Brody MacAulay, and LL4 was able to score less than a minute later. At the end of the first period the score was tied.

In the second period the boys used the whole ice and did not slow down.  All the defensemen, Noah Hoch, Brody MacAulay, Colton Hanlon, Emmett Holman, and Jack Coughlin, worked and did their best to keep the puck out of our end and protect our goalie, JS Deacon.  The forwards, Sam Steward, Lukas Washenko, Cohen Dalton, Deacon Samay, Matthew Aoun, and Samuel Vaisanen, worked hard with skating the puck down the ice and making fantastic passes and many attempts on net. Neither team could score in the second period, the game would continue tied 1-1.

The third period seemed as though time flew by, both teams had lost no energy and were fighting for the win.  Half way through the period Cohen Dalton scored the second goal of the game with the assists going to Deacon Samay and Samuel Vaisanen. Both teams play extremely well and the period came to a close finish with LL3 winning 2-1.  Which means the LL3 boys will be off to the finals against Tavistock!!! Way to go Flames, FEEL THE HEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
