January 14th - 15th game vs. Woolwich Wildcats 2
The 1st period started off with a great fight for the puck, all the Flames were doing their best to hustle for the puck and keep heavy on the Woolwich team. Dalton with a breakaway, showing great puck handling, was able to score the first goal of the 1st period. Deacon made a great save, but Woolwich was able to score in the last two minutes to tie up the game at the end of the 1st period.
The 2nd period was scoreless, but not with out excitement. Samay, Dalton, and Aoun all had amazing attempts on net through out the 2nd period but the Woolwich goalie was ready for them this time. MacAulay, Holman, Hanlon and Coughlin were working hard on defence and it paid off to end the period still tied.
In the 3rd period Deacon saved a shot on net and Coughlin was able to shoot the puck out of our end. There were 2 goals score this period by the Flames, the first was by Dalton with a wrap around goal, assisted by Vaisanen; the second goals was made by Aoun with an assist by Coughlin. All the boys made amazing passes this game and Steward, Waschenko, and Hoch skated hard down the ice and stayed on Woolwich to make for another exciting period. The game end 3-1 for the Flames, and we are off to Paris on Saturday to finish off the regular season.
