Bantam Rep News
The Bantam Rep team boarded the bus for two tilts away from our home barn last week.

On Monday night we were the guests in Waterford. The first period saw lots of action. Sam McFarlane was skating and stick handling with great acumen, but failed to find the back of the net. Eric Stranz launched a couple of rockets toward the net but was stifled by their tender. Jake Feicht had a chance to break the goose egg but his hard wrister went just wide of the mark. It took until midway in the second for the score board to change. Noah Davis carried the disc into the corner and adeptly continued behind their cage. He made a beauty of a pass to Matthew MacDonald who was perched in front of the crease. He made no mistake to give us the 1 – 0 lead. Later in the frame, Matthew Tomlinson let one go from the point, that resulted in a juicy rebound. Ben Scott pounced upon that and drilled it into the twine to up the score to 2 – 0. Will Barrie was often seen dipsy-doodling through the neutral zone and into their end but could not solve their tender. From then on, it was Isaac Seltzer’s turn to shine, as he blocked scoring attempt after scoring attempt to earn the shut out! On Friday night, the team from Port Dover were our hosts and we were not gracious guests! As the first period began, Andrew Legare jumped on the puck in the neutral zone, danced around a lone defenseman and made a tape to tape pass to a blazing Ryan Clinton. He got both cheeks into a wrist shot that eluded their tender to give us a 1 – 0 lead. Later in the frame, Dylan Dugal out worked a defender in front of their net and took a couple of whacks at the disc but failed find the back of the net. Noah was there to take out the trash and add one to our total. Trevor Wing had a chance to increase lead but his shot found nothing but iron. The second period saw more of the same. Carter Purdon intercepted a clearing pass and fired the disc into the back of the net to give us a 3 – 0 lead. Later it was Ben who redirected a Matthew T. shot from the point past the goal line. As the frame was winding down, another scramble ensued in front of their net. After a couple of whacks by Noah, it was Dylan who completed our scoring to make it a 5 – 0 final. Sam Johnston performed like a magician between the pipes as he kept the Sailors off the scoreboard to guarantee another shut out. Until next time, may the Flames be with you
