Last Wednesday, the Bantam Rep Team travelled to St. George for a tilt against the Generals. From the start it was a fast paced game with many scoring opportunities on both sides of the rink.

Midway through the period of action, Noah Davis escaped from the corner with the puck and fed a beauty of a pass to Matthew MacDonald in the slot. The next thing you know, we were up 1 – 0 after he bulged  the twine.   Carter Purdon used his size effectively as he regularly introduced their forwards to boards.  In the second frame, Matthew Tomlinson unloaded a blast from the point but there was no-one there to corral the rebound.   Will Barrie was seen making some Bobby Orr-like moves with the puck and made some nice passes up ice to take the pressure off Sam Johnson, who, at the same time, was turning in a superb  performance in net! The period ended in the same score as the first. Ryan Clinton, Jake Feicht   and Trevor Wing were forces to be reckoned with on the boards as they forced the opposition to keep their heads up! In the third frame, they managed to even things up.  The Flames kept up the pressure but could not solve their tender again as the game ended in a sister kisser, 1 – 1!
On Sunday afternoon we took to the ice in Six Nations and from the start it was a spirited contest. In the first, a hard shot from the point by Dylan Dugal resulted in a hefty rebound that Ben Scott pounced upon and fired it in the net, and were up by one! After plenty of physical action, we went up by two in the second after Jordan Morschauser broke up an attack on our blue line and banked a pass off the boards.  Noah D. came racing off the bench and outworked a defender for the puck and went in alone and made a net deposit.  In the third, Andrew Legare sauced an accurate pass up to Noah on their blue line.  He carried it in and gave it up to Sam McFarlane, who drove the puck to the net and we were up 3 -  0!  Throughout the match Isaac Seltzer was lights out and earned the shut out. Until next time, may the Flames be with you!
