Tournament Rules and Regulations

1.  Mercy Rule- If there is 5 min or less left in the 3rd period and the goal differential is 5 or more, the remainder of the game will be run clock.
2. ALL teams must be ready to begin their game 15 min before the required time.
3. Flooding of ice will be at the end of each game.
4. Team rosters will be limited to 19 players including goalies.
5. Home team is designated by the tournament director.
6. In case of conflicting colours the home team will change.  Home teams where white or light colours.
7. All decisions of the tournament committee are final.
8. Period length- 10-10-10 stop time
9. Point system in effect.
10.  ALL O.M.H.A. RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLY.
11.  No time outs except for semi and final games (one 30 sec time out / team)
12. Tickets will be used at the NDCC for players powerade and chips.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF POINTS PER GAME IS 5
Win = 2 points, Tie = 1 point, Loss= 0 points
Each period is worth 1 point.  Win period= 1point, Tie period= ½ point, Loose period=0 points
Quarter Finals for divisions of 12
Top 4 in Pool A move on, 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd
Top 4 in Pool B move on, 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd
Semi Finals for ALL divisions
1st pool A vs 2nd pool B                                       1st pool B vs 2nd pool A

*If there is a tie going into the quarters or semis it will be decided,
1. Most Wins
2. Head to Head
3. Least penalty minutes
4. Goals for divided by goals against

Quarters/ Semis/ Finals Only

Overtime
1. Five minute sudden victory, 4 on 4 skaters, plus a goalie
2. If the game is still tied, 3 players will take 1 penalty shot each, each player home and visitor will shoot at the same time.
3. If there is still a tie the coach will appoint another shooter for a sudden death shoot out. The first team to score when the other team does not will be the winner.
4. No shooter will repeat until all players on the team have shot.  A player in the penalty box is unable to be a shooter.
