Atom AE Flames vs Embro Oct 30
On October 30, 2015, the Atom AE Flames travelled to Embro for a great game, while looking for their second win.

Nate Sherk would start in net for this matchup.  In the first period, the Flames put pressure on the Embro Goalie by immediately getting shots on net and logging lots of time in the offensive zone.  Every forward line had won their shift in the first few minutes.  With 6 minutes remaining in the period, Noah Covemaeker scored the opening goal with assists by Matthew Wood and Gillen Generoux.  After their goal, the Flames continued to dominate and win puck battles to keep their lead at the end of the period.  In the second period, The Flames continued to apply pressure on the Edge but let up a bit.  The Flames have been known to not have great second periods, but the Flames continued to get shots and win most shifts and battles.  Passing was outstanding and many scoring opportunities were created off of good rushes.  The Flames held their lead until… in the third period, Ayr kept digging for another goal to open up a considerable lead.  Later, Christopher Cotter and Carter Cressman  both hit the post- one of them inside of the post- but none found twine ( Hello?! Physics?!).  These close calls prevented the Flames from nearly securing a win.  And later, Embro would tie the game with 6 minutes left in the game.  Ayr continued to win shifts and get shots that almost indicated a win for Ayr.  However, Ayr could not score and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.  It was a great game for the Flames and they end up on par with Embro in the standings.  Great job team!
