Midget Rep Flames advance to OMHA Playdowns Finals
In what turned out to be an incredibly close OMHA Semifinal series, Ayr finally edged the Mount Brydges Midget Rep Cougars by 7 point to 5 points, by taking Game 6 with a score of 5-2 in an exciting finale at the NDCC on March 5th.
The game scores were 2-2, 1-0, 2-4, 7-2, 1-4 and 5-2 in a physically punishing and fast skating series that featured 5 games in 5 consecutive night. Ayr was down 3 regular players in the final game due to injuries incurred in previous games, so the late help of some APs helped to seal the deal.
