OMHA CHAMPIONS
In front of an incredible crowd of local supporters the flames took home the title of OMHA champions and claimed their red hats.

The Ayr Flames were pushed throughout a hard fought series by the talented group from Mooretown. As always it took a complete effort including some great goaltending to claim an OMHA championship but the young group from Ayr would not be denied.
In game 1 down 3 players from their roster the Flames took home the W with a 5-4 win and a 2 pts to 0 lead in the series. The next day welcoming back 2 to the roster the boys were tested by a resilient Mooretown team. Led by their goaltender and some strong team play the Flames would end OT with a 3-3 tie, giving them a 3 pts to 1 lead heading home to Ayr.
Back in Ayr the kids were greated by an exceptional crowd who watched their goaltender hold them in and give the flames a chance to come back. With less then 3 minutes left the crowd erupted as the young Flames tied the game and would not look back. In OT their captain took the puck the length of the ice and into the back of the net to give the Flames and their loud supporting crowd a 5 pts to 1 lead.  Game 4 in front of an even larger and just as supportive crowd the Flames would put it all together, entire roster back and a 110% effort would see the Flames strike early and often taking the series with an 8-4 win.
Your OMHA Champion Novice Flames would like to thank everyone for their support and a special two days at the NDCC for a very special group of 8 and 9 year old boys. We would also like to give a huge thank you to the Ayr Centennials players, coaches, management and announcer for everything they did this weekend. These boys will remember this for a life time and have you all to thank for making it a weekend to remember.

Thank you town of Ayr!
