Peewee Rep, U13, 2013-2014 (Ayr Flames)

There was no Miracle on Ice for the American teams in Lake Placid this year as the Peewee Reps travelled down to New York state and dominated their way to a Challenge Cup Championship.

The Peewee Rep's are gearing up for a great weekend beginning March 27th in Lake Placid, New York at Can Am.  Along with their Atom Rep travel partners the Peewee Reps had a pair of combined scrimmages with the Atom Reps to prep for the tournament and get to know eachother better.  Both teams look forward to a great International experience as they represent Canada against teams from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and other U.S. states.  A great way to finish off a fun season...good luck boys!

A questionable penalty call with 23 seconds left followed by a bad bounce with 3 seconds left in OT of the deciding game 5 of our quarter final series put an end to a great OMHA run by the Peewee Reps.   Despite outshooting Ingersoll in all 5 games and looking like the stronger team for most of the series the Flames were unable to completely solve Ingersoll's home ice advantage on their tiny home rink.  Great effort anyway Flames!  We currently sit atop the Southern Counties playoff standings and look forward to a fun International experience at the Can Am tourney in Lake Placid,  New ...

While finally solving a hot Paris goalie the Peewee Reps finished off The Wolf Pack in convincing fashion Friday night with a 4-1 win, out shooting Paris 42-9 to take the series.  No chance for resting though as the Flames kick off our next series vs a very tough Ingersoll team who did beat us in the regular season.  Keep up the great play boys, excellent team effort! 

The Peewee Reps capped off an amazing weekend at the North American Silver Stick Finals in Forest  taking home a silver medal after being edged out in the Final 2-1 by the New York Jr Purple Eagles.  All teams in the Tournament were qualifying tournament winners or special invites.  In Game 1, Ayr made a statement hammering Listowel 6-1.  Game 2, Ayr came out flat against a strong Mt. Brydges team and lost 1-0 in an overtime thriller.  Game 3 vs. league rival Ingersol in a do or die game got the Flames back on track with a tight 3-0 victory and outshooting the Express 27-8.
