Notes
The AE Flames opened their 2014 OMHA playdowns hosting the Tavistock Titans who had given them a couple tough games this season. Tristan took a good low shot from the high slot on the opening shift to give Ayr the lead. From that point Tavistock took control of the play and had the Flames on the defensive. Mathew had a big game between the pipes and kept the visitors off the board until the start of the third when Dylan converted a sweet pass from Owen for a 2-0 lead. Tavistock pulled their goalie in the final minute and finally put one in the back of the net on a good wrister from the slot. The Flames defense held on for the final 30 seconds to preserve the win and take a 1-0 lead in the 5 game series.
