Peewee Reps Finish with a Bang
Submitted By Bryan Gerber on Monday, March 31, 2014
There was no Miracle on Ice for the American teams in Lake Placid this year as the Peewee Reps travelled down to New York state and dominated their way to a Challenge Cup Championship.

The Reps battled illness and fatigue from a long drive but managed to pull it together on the ice and really took it to teams from Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York on the way to a clean sweep victory.  It was a great way to cap off an amazing season.   The experience was fun and the folks at Can-Am really know how to put on a tournament spectacle complete with a lighting of the Olympic caldron in the opening ceremonies.

The coaches are very proud of our boys, not only at this tournament but all year long as they piled up a 53 win season over a busy 74 game season, but most of all did it with class and respect for the game and represented the town of Ayr like true champions!  It has been crazy, emotional journey but we have all progressed exponentially and we couldn't think of a better group of young men to spend 4+ nights a week with for the last 7 months!

Thanks Rick, Brian, Isaac, James, Kam, Mary Lou and Doug for your tremendous efforts to make special what is one of the greatest times of our kids lives - the minor hockey experience!  Have a great summer.

Coach Bryan.
