***IMPORTANT NOTICE***
The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) have implemented new screening requirements starting the 2024/2025 hockey season. All VSC will be submitted to the OHF online portal, and NOT submitted to AMHA. Please read ALL the information.

Again this season, all coaching applications must be submitted with a valid or in process VSC clearance, or have a valid one in the HCR for the coming season BEFORE, applications will be considered. All VSCs expire on May 1st of the third year.***

All Coaching Staff, Trainers, Managers, Board Members, On Ice Volunteers, At Large Volunteers, and Third-Party Instructor are required under OHF and OMHA rules to be screened
This is being done with a Vulnerable Sector Check Screening (VSC).  The Vulnerable Sector Check will be valid for 3 years. The VSC must be completed with the Police Department in the municipality where the individual resides.

It does take the WRPS & OPP some time to turn around your VSC application, so please apply early.

The police association will not link your VSC to your Hockey Profile.  Once they send it to you, you must follow the OHF insructions for uploading, then the OHF will link it to your Hockey Canada profile. There is a fee of $20 for VSC if applying through the WRPS as a Volunteer (check the correct application). The WRPS have a new online system and it must be accompanied by the OHF VSC letter (link below) to receive the discounted fee. The OPP also require this letter. NOTE: AMHA will only reimburse a maximum of $20 for the screening of an approved AMHA Volunteer.
