Urgent Covid Reminders & Vaccine Requirements Update
Submitted By Chris Coleman on Sun 09 19, 21
Hello hockey families. Please see this important information and reminders below. They must be followed at all times.
Please always err on the side of caution and STAY HOME if you are unsure. You must answer "NO" to all the online screening questions, and check in with the covid Rep. upon entering the arena.

If your child has been advised to isolate:
If your child has been advised to SELF ISOLATE by Public Health, please ensure your child DOES NOT attend hockey during the noted isolation period. Follow the guidelines from Public Health. It does not matter if you have a negative covid test.
Household Members, Please see the charts from Public Health and the OHF. They will help you understand if household members are allowed to enter the arena or play hockey.

Vaccine Requirements:
Announced last week from the Ontario Government, as of Wednesday September 22, 2021 - ALL 12 and up Spectators, Coaches and all other on ice volunteers must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccine upon or before entry into a public building (Arena). This date has been moved ahead from the OMHA policy.

All players 12-17 who are eligible for the vaccine, and are participating in sports do not fall under this Government requirement at this time. BUT they are still required under OMHA at this time. That means all 12-17 players must still have their second dose of an approved vaccine by October 17, 2021, which means they will be fully vaccinated (including the 2 week window) by October 31, 2021. Unless an OMHA accommodation has been submitted and approved.

Spectators - Please have your proof ready to show at the door with your ID, beginning this Wednesday September 22nd.  **UPDATE** The Township will have a security officer at the door to be checking vaccination proof for Spectators and none registered volunteers.

Volunteers and Participants - Please continue to send your proof of vaccine to our AMHA Privacy Officer. **UPDATE**IF your proof was not sent before September 22nd, please have proof and ID ready at the door.

Administration Receipt or Medical Record to the AMHA Privacy Officer at [email protected] ASAP.
Please make sure in the subject line you put:
-The full name of the member
-Team and/or Division of player/volunteer
-If the member is a player or volunteer
-Volunteer position if applicable

These regulations are constantly changing, please reach out to a AMHA board member if you have questions now, or in the future, as we navigate through this together and keeping each other safe!
