"Share Your Hockey Story" Week 2 Winner
A few weeks ago we shared an incredible drawing by midget player, Evan K. We were so happy when he submitted that drawing with an essay describing his inspiration for it, that he is the Week 2 essay contest winner! Congratulations, Evan.
"My favourite memory from hockey without a doubt is my 2018-2019 year. I was a second year Bantam player for the Ayr Flames, and I was looking forward to a new hockey year since the year prior has not been the greatest in the win to loss ratio. Though this year wasn't much different in that category, it was, for sure, the greatest year of hockey I've ever had. After the tryouts had taken place, the teams were in development, and soon after, I was put onto the team that Mike Thibeau was going to be coaching. The year had started and all the games were not to different from the ones of the previous year, with a bunch of losses."
"This hockey year had such a huge impact on me, the entire team was amazing and I wish I could thank them for it, and with that, I decided to draw a picture for the best coach I've ever had, Mike Thibeau. It was the first time I've ever felt like drawing a hockey related picture, and with it, I spent hours upon hours making it so I can give it to him as a gift."
