Ayr Peewee AE Flames Regular Season Week 6
This weekend, the Ayr Peewee AE Flames played the 13th game of their regular season.

The game was set in Tillsonburg on Sunday night.  Nate Sherk would start in net for this game.  In the first period, the Flames didn’t have the great start they envisioned to help them crack their three-game losing streak.  As a result, Ayr conceded a goal just over 2 minutes in.  However, the Flames battled back and stayed in the game for the rest of the period.  In the second period, Ayr picked up the pace and started to up the anti on their passing and skating.  At 6:50, Aaron Henhoeffer scored on the rebound assisted by Scott Hall to tie the score.  Ayr continued to play hard with great efforts from Josh Loughrin and Liam Hansen.  With just over a minute to go in the period, Liam Hansen scored an unassisted goal to put the Flames up by one.  In the third period, the game became intense, and Ayr was coming out on the wrong side of it.  Ayr was struggling to clear the puck, and conceded quite a few shots.  But to counter that, Nate Sherk was sensational in net, not letting anything by but the uncontrollable breakaway goal.  As time bled off the clock, the Tornadoes pull their goalie in an attempt to tie the score, but Liam Hansen, in an attempt to dump the puck, scored on the empty net to make it 3-1 for Ayr.  Though Tillsonburg scored once more to thin Ayr’s margin, the Flames held on for their fifth win of the season.  A better effort to climb out of the rut they had put themselves into.  Looking forward to next week!
