SR IP Blue vs New Hamburg BLUE
The blue senior IP team faced the blue New Hamburg team in an action packed game on Sunday in New Hamburg.
The blue New Hamburg team is more of a rep team and a very tough team to beat, but Ayr rose to the challenge! Zach James was brave enough to offer to play net and did an amazing job stopping almost every shot (and there were a lot of shots!) In the first period Bryan Brunkard went head to head with an opposing New Hamburg player keeping the puck out of our zone but New Hamburg gained control of the puck again and got a breakaway which was saved by Zach! To start off the second period New Hamburg again came out strong but were shut down by Kaelen Moco who grabbed the puck and shot it back down to New Hamburg’s zone. In the third period Lucas Haus and Nolan Macauley turned up the heat keeping the puck in New Hamburg’s zone as much as possible, and Luca Grbac had some beautiful shots on net! In the end the game was a loss, but Ayr showed amazing team work and didn’t get discouraged. We’re really proud of all these kids!
