Feb. 5 - PLAYOFF GAME vs. Ayr Flames LL1
This past weekend, Novice LL3 hit the ice twice at the NDCC for playoff games against their hometown counterparts.  On Saturday, it was Novice LL3 against Novice LL1.  The pressure was on during the 1st period, with the puck flying at both ends.  JS Deacon in net for LL3 had a strong start to the game, not letting anything get by him.

LL3 opened the scoring early in the 2nd, with a great shot by Cohen Dalton, assisted by Jack Coughlin and Deacon Samay.  Minutes later, Cohen Dalton scored again after picking up the puck from Matthew Aoun.  In an exciting end to the period, LL1 scored their first goal with a mere 2.9 seconds left on the clock!  With a goal difference of only one, it was still anyone’s game.  Keeping the pressure on, LL1 tied it up early in the 3rd.  The collective defensive efforts from Emmett Holman, Colton Hanlon, Noah Hoch, Jack Coughlin and Jonas Lindsay remained strong, and Samual Vaisanen and Sam Steward, in their winger positions, were doing their best to get to the puck.  Anxious spectators cheered on as the game remained at a tie for most of the period.  Then, with only a minute and a half left, LL3 took the lead when Matthew Aoun scored, with assists from Cohen Dalton and Lukas Waschenko.  The final score was 3 to 2 for Novice LL3, and the MVP helmet went to Cohen Dalton for his hard work during the game.
