Christmas games!
Happy New Year from the Ayr Flames Novice LL1 team.  Over the Christmas holidays, the Novice LL1 team was on fire, winning 2 regular season league games.  First the team travelled to St. George for a 8-0 win.  Hayden Covemaeker opened up the scoring in the first period, assisted by Deacon Samay.

Jackson Wright quickly followed up with the second goal of the game, unassisted.  Egan McDonald potted 2 goals in the second period, unassisted.  Covemaeker and Wright also saw another goal each in the second, unassisted.  Defensemen Sullivan Cofell and Grady Brown were all over the puck, keeping shots on net away from our goalie.  Covemaker saw his game hat trick come alive in the third with his last goal of the game, assisted by our very own net minder J.S. Deacon.  This was Deacon's first point of the season, which isn't so bad, considering he is our goalie!  Benson Dietrich solidified the win with the last goal of the game, unassisted.

Next, the team travelled to Woolwich for a tough 4-2 win.  Darko Maldini, finally returning to the team after breaking his foot (you were missed), showed his stuff with the game opening goal, assisted by Danik Godard and Wright.  Carter Cressman and Derek Groot were on fire defensively, clearing the puck from the defensive zone and keeping it in the offensive zone.  McDonald saw his game hat trick come alive by scoring the next 3 goals, assisted by Will McLeod and Brody MacAuley.  Cohen Dalton was everywhere he needed to be, moving the puck to the net, skating hard and tying up the opposing players.  Well played games by all the children.  We have a break in games for early January, but the team looks forward to its next game against Ayr LL4 mid month.
