Flames Are Red Hot to Close Out October
On October 22 it was a battle against Paris Wolfpack at the NDCC.  Late in the first period Ayr’s Owen McIlravey assists Tristan Ward to open the floodgates of the Ayr scoreboard.  Early in period 2, Dylan Snell takes a turn, but with a missed opportunity, Tristan picks it up to score his 2nd.  With a hat trick in his sights, Owen sets him up for his 3rd by the end of period 2.  Matthew Sherk, and the mighty defense of the Ayr AE kept our net nice and clean, Allowing Tristan another goal assisted by Owen and Dylan.

By the end of the game, Drew Porter, Maryn Holroyd and Rowan Generoux attack the Wolfpack pen and with a pass from Drew, allows Rowan the final goal in the game.  Final Score was 5-0.  Go Flames Go!

So away we went to face Tavistock on Saturday Oct 26.  After the first frame, Ayr fans were suffering from Deja Vu as Ayr racked up the score to 3-0.  Tavi took note to come back hard the next 2 periods to put 2 on the board. Final score 3-2 for Ayr.

October 29, Ayr hosted Plattsville at the NDCC.  With 5:36 left in the first and no score on the clock, Jack Sunseth sees an opportunity and uses a breakaway to give Ayr their first.  Plattsville comes back and sneaks one past Ayr net minder Matthew Sherk for what would be their only goal of the night.  Maryn Holroyd takes a shot at the Plattsville net late in the second, allowing Drew Porter to pickup the rebound to put Ayr back in the lead.  With 2 minutes left in the second frame, Dylan Snell sets up Ben Cotter who stick handles his way through the Rage defence and sinks one deep in the Plattsville mesh.  Still unanswered by Plattsville and under 3 minutes remaining, Jack Sunseth makes another breakaway to put the final score at 5-1 for Ayr Flames. Great work Ayr Atom AE Flames, stay tuned for more action.
