This week the team had 3 away games, traveling to Simcoe for their last OMHA game (L 2-5), then carried on to Hagersville to continue the Southern Counties Playdowns (W 3-0) and then off to Six Nations (L 1-6).

After winning the first OMHA game against Simcoe, the team was hoping for a repeat game.  Jack Whibbs opened up the scoring in the first period, assisted by James Sayles and Austin Brodhaecker.  Unfortunately, Simcoe netted 3 goals before Whibbs scored his second of the game, assisted by Liam Foreman and Sayles.  Great forechecking seen by Christopher Cotter and William Graff.  Nate Sherk worked overtime, trying to keep the puck out of the net and overcome Simcoe's hard shots on net.  With a push in the last few minutes of the 3rd period, the boys and girl were unable to tie it up and came away with a loss.  Brielle Dugal worked hard to get the puck out of the defensive zone. The team then traveled to Hagersville for a great game.  Jesse Janzen opened up the scoring in the first period, assisted by Whibbs.  The scoring didn't end there as Whibbs quickly followed up with the team's second goal of the game, assisted by Sayles.  Whibbs solidified the win with his second goal in the third period, assisted by Brodhaecker and Carter Wright.  Braydon Woznica worked hard for his shut out, stoping many great Hagersville shots.  Last, a disappointing game against Six Nations with the sole goal scored by Mark Zeyen, assisted by Simon DeSousa.  Scott Hall was solid as centre, working the puck in both offensive and defensive zones.  Kaelan McDougald was on fire, taking the puck up the ice and dumping into the offensive zone.  The team hosts a few home games next week and the parents appreciate the break from driving.
