Novice Rep - Dec 27 to Jan 5
Happy New Year from the Ayr Flames Novice Rep Team.  Over Christmas, the team travelled to Kincardine for the Regional Silver Stick.  Invited to play at the tournament were all 3 alternate players - Jordan Charron, Kianna Baker and Caleb Garchinski.

The Flames tied their first game against Walkerton (2-2).  Mark Zeyen scored the first goal, assisted by William Graff. Scott Hall scored the tying goal, assisted by Austin Brodhaecker and Jack Whibbs.  The team played a very defensive second game ending in a loss to Mitchell (0-3).  Nathan Sherk was stellar in net, with only a few poke check goals getting past his stick and pads.  Liam Foreman fought hard to clear the defensive zone on a regular basis.  The last game against the hometown favourite Kincardine was a loss for the team (2-4).  Defenceman Jack Whibbs came through for the team with both goals.  The first unassisted in the second period and the second, after a stellar pass by Carter Wright fed to him by James Sayles, in the third.  Simon DeSousa was fighting hard for the puck, forechecking the opposition regularly.  Brielle Dugal fought the tough fight in the corner to win the puck.  The team had a great time together, but couldn't pull through a win.  Southern Counties playdowns started the first week in January with a game against Twin Center.  Jordan Charron was the alternate player called up.  The Flames played beautifully with a beauty of a goal by Scott Hall in the first period, after an awesome pass by Kaelan McDougald.  Christopher Cotter scored the team's second goal of the game, unassisted.  Braydon Woznica in net was phenomenal, stoping numerous shots.  Unfortunately, the Flames fell short and lost 4-2.
